In addition to one-off cleaning, I offer a regular maintenance service for customers who have had their surfaces professionally cleaned by me. This service is designed to keep driveways, patios, pathways and other exterior surfaces looking their best all year round.

Maintenance visits typically involve the application of a professional fungicide to prevent the build-up of algae, moss and organic growth. For block paved surfaces, a separate weed control treatment can also be applied once or twice a year to help prevent weeds returning between joints.

By maintaining surfaces regularly, the need for repeated jet washing is greatly reduced — helping to protect the surface, extend its lifespan, and keep it looking clean for longer.

Are surface treatments required after cleaning?

-Treatments are optional. Some customers choose them for longer-lasting results and easier maintenance, while others prefer a clean and allow surfaces to weather naturally over time. I’ll always advise honestly based on the environment, the surface type, and its condition.

How often should ongoing maintenance be carried out?
-A fungicide is typically applied twice a year — usually in November and March — after cleaning, to ensure maximum effectiveness during the damper months. Weed control for block paving is usually applied once or twice a year, commonly in May and again in September if required. Regular treatments help keep surfaces looking cleaner for longer and significantly reduce the need for repeat pressure washing.

​When is sealing recommended?
-Sealing is most commonly recommended for block paved surfaces. It helps lock in colour, reduce weed growth and make ongoing maintenance easier. I only recommend sealing where it’s genuinely beneficial.
